# How referral rewards work

> What to expect as a Parquet affiliate — getting credited, your reward tier, and claiming your USDC.

When someone trades on Parquet using your referral code, a share of their
trading fees comes back to you in USDC. Parquet trades on Solana mainnet, so
these are real rewards paid in real USDC. Here is what to expect across the
life of a referral.

## Getting credited

A trader is credited to you the first time they open a position with your
referral code. That link is set once and then stays put — there is no expiry
and no way to move a trader to a different affiliate later. The flip side: make
sure your referrals use your code on their very first trade, because it cannot
be changed after that.

## Your reward tier

Parquet does not pay everyone the same flat rate. Each affiliate is placed in a
reward tier, and your tier decides what share of your referrals' fees you earn.
On today's Standard (default) tier, referrers earn **25%** of their referred
traders' trading fees (claimable USDC, uncapped); the protocol can assign higher
tiers, up to **40%**. There is currently **no trader-side fee discount** — the
full reward accrues to the referrer. Deeplinks auto-apply on the first trade.
Tiers are set by the protocol and can change, so treat those numbers as the
current rate, not a guarantee. To create your code and get started, see the
[Referrals](/referrals) page.

## Claiming your USDC

Rewards add up automatically as your referrals trade — you do not need to do
anything for them to accrue. To receive them, you claim your balance, and the
USDC is sent to your wallet. Rewards are tracked per market, so if you have
earned across several markets you may claim more than once to collect
everything.
